Art Adda and Mountain Trail - 2nd Edition

We invite you to join the 2nd edition of OM SELF DISCOVERY ART ADDA and TEXTILE TRAIL which is a new format of cross pollination art residency where both trained artists and novices are invited to participate and explore their inner creativity in the rural homestay setting of ours. 

The event will run from the 6th January 2021 (we suggest your arrival in Dimapur on the 5th Jan) to 15th January 2021. The residency and workshop will be conducted by three artists from different parts of the world. Gillian Lasker Lourenco is an Art Therepist from South Africa who belives in the philosophy of 'Awekening Spirit through Art' and will be introducing this practice of nonjudgmental take towards artmaking. Michelle Fine is a self taught artist from London who makes visual stories from found objects and will be taking you through her process of storytelling. Jayshree Bhagwanani is a Folk Artist from Chattisgarh, India who works with merging various folk art forms found in India and will be introducing few of those artforms. These artists will be cross pollinating the event along with our Naga women weavers and Naga wood carvers in tandem along with some local enthusiasts. 

We will also be taking the participants for an optional three day mountain excursion to explore the beauty of Nagaland from 6th to 10th January.

We offer four types of rates for this: 

A. Mud Cottages (2 people occupancy) :  Rs 3500/- per person per day on a twin sharing basis which includes all stay, all meals, all art material.

In case some participant wants to opt for this excursion, each participant will need to add Rs 2000/- extra per person per day.

B. AO Huts (3 people occupancy) : Rs 3000/- per person per day which includes all stay, all meals, all art material.

In case some participant wants to opt for this excursion, each participant will need to add Rs 2000/- extra per person per day.

C. Bamboo Long Room (4 people occupancy) : Rs 2500/- per person per day which includes all stay, all meals, all art material.

In case some participant wants to opt for this excursion, each participant will need to add Rs 2000/- extra per person per day. 

D. Tents (4 people occupancy) :Rs 2000/- on a quadruple sharing basis in tents which includes all stay, all meals, all art material.
